How to use 3D Sculpting Carving Gel
3D carving gel keeps its shape for sculpted roses, petals, lace and other relief designs.
What you need
- 3D carving gel
- Detail brush or carving tool
- UV/LED lamp
- Top coat
Step by step
Prepare the base
Finish your base colour and cure it.
Place the gel
Pick up a small amount of carving gel and place it on the nail.
Sculpt the design
Shape petals, lines and details with a brush or tool; the gel keeps every stroke.
Cure in layers
Cure each layer before adding the next for taller designs. Cure under a UV or LED lamp for the time your lamp recommends.
Seal the base
Seal around the design with top coat and cure.
Pro tips
- Clean the tool often for crisp detail.
Avoid
- Do not cover the 3D detail with thick top coat.
Removal & aftercare
File away the shine of the top layer, then wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone or gel remover for 10–15 minutes. Gently push the softened product off with a cuticle pusher, never peel or pry. Finish with cuticle oil.
