How to use Chrome & Pearl Mirror Powder Sets

Chrome powders are rubbed over a cured no-wipe top coat to create mirror, metallic or pearl finishes.

What you need

Chrome powder
Applicator or sponge
No-wipe top coat
UV/LED lamp

Step by step

Prepare
Apply your base and colour, curing each layer.
No-wipe top coat
Apply no-wipe top coat and cure.
Rub in the powder
Rub a small amount of powder over the nail with the applicator until it shines.
Clean up
Brush away excess powder from the skin.
Seal
Apply top coat, cap the edge and cure.

Pro tips

A black base gives the strongest mirror; white gives a pearl look.

Avoid

Do not use a top coat with a sticky layer under the powder.

Removal & aftercare

File away the shine of the top layer, then wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone or gel remover for 10–15 minutes. Gently push the softened product off with a cuticle pusher, never peel or pry. Finish with cuticle oil.
