How to use Full Cover Soft Gel Tips
Full-cover soft gel tips give a fast, uniform extension with no filing to shape.
What you need
- Soft gel tips
- Tip primer
- Soft gel tip adhesive
- UV/LED lamp
- Buffer
Step by step
Size the tips
Choose a tip for each nail that covers it from side wall to side wall.
Prep
Prep and buff the natural nail; lightly etch the inside of the tip.
Prime
Apply tip primer to the natural nail.
Glue and press
Apply adhesive to the nail and inside the tip, press at a 45° angle and hold.
Cure
Flash cure, then fully cure. Cure under a UV or LED lamp for the time your lamp recommends.
Finish
Apply colour and top coat as desired.
Pro tips
- Press from the cuticle forward to avoid air bubbles.
Avoid
- Do not skip etching the tip; it reduces retention.
Removal & aftercare
File off the top coat, soak in acetone for 10–15 minutes and slide the softened tips off gently.
