How to use Kiss Foil Flake Top Coat
Effect top coats go on as the last layer of a gel manicure to add sparkle, texture or a special finish.
What you need
- Effect top coat
- Gel colour of your choice
- UV/LED lamp
- Base coat
Step by step
Finish your colour
Complete your base and gel colour, curing each layer.
Mix the bottle
Roll the bottle gently between your palms so flakes or particles spread evenly.
Apply the top coat
Apply an even layer and place flakes or speckles with the brush where you want them.
Cure
Cure under a UV or LED lamp for the time your lamp recommends.
Optional seal
For a smoother surface over flakes, add a layer of clear top coat and cure again.
Pro tips
- Try the effect over light and dark colours to see two different looks.
- Matte top coat over glitter creates a soft, velvet sparkle.
Avoid
- Do not shake hard; it creates bubbles.
Removal & aftercare
File away the shine of the top layer, then wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone or gel remover for 10–15 minutes. Gently push the softened product off with a cuticle pusher, never peel or pry. Finish with cuticle oil.
