How it is used
- Prep the natural nailPush back the cuticles, remove any non-living tissue from the nail plate, then lightly buff away the shine with a 180-grit file. Brush off all dust.
- DehydrateWipe each nail with a lint-free pad and alcohol or a nail dehydrator. Do not touch the nail plate after this step; skin oils cause lifting.
- Apply a thin base layerScrub a very thin layer of base coat (or a thin slip layer of builder gel) into the nail and cure. This is the anchor for everything that follows.
- Pick up a bead of builderTake a small bead of builder gel with your brush. Twist the brush as you lift it out of the jar so the gel does not string.
- Float the gel and build the apexPlace the bead in the center of the nail and float it toward the sidewalls and free edge without touching the skin. Keep the apex (highest point) about one-third of the way down from the cuticle.
- Let it self-levelTurn the hand upside down for 5–10 seconds so gravity pulls the gel into a smooth curve, then check the side profile.
- CureFlash-cure each nail for 10 seconds to lock the shape, then do a full cure. Cure in an LED lamp for about 60 seconds or a UV lamp for about 120 seconds. Cure times vary by lamp wattage, so follow your lamp’s guide.
